Our specialty. All full board amenities. Clean & Airy 12 x 12 stalls, Daily Turnout, Quality Feed & Hay twice a day. PLUS Training four days per week, complete with all ground manners, feet, bathing, clipping, tying, and trailer loading, in addition to age and maturation appropriate schooling.

Text Box: After looking around and meeting several different local horse trainers, my husband and I were blown away when we met Lisa Fisher at Featherwind Ranch! We had just recently bought an older, well trained, beginner friendly QH and went to Featherwind Ranch to look at a 16 month old paint colt. While there, Lisa informed us she had started the colt at 6 months old and he knew all the ground work, just needed to finish growing up. She then showed us him in the round pen and we could not believe our eyes! It seemed as if Lisa and the colt were connected in such a way that she barely even had to give him commands! He was so light and responsive to everything she asked of him and he looked to be enjoying the whole thing! That was the first time we saw what is called Natural Horsemanship! We were very impressed with it and knew right then and there, that was the way we wanted to go. Not only did we find the second horse we wanted, we also found the trainer we wanted! We have learned so much from Lisa and appreciate everything she has taught us. One of her very important lessons is don’t give up! She has a way of building your confidence and having you believe everything is possible. This is VERY important when you are a beginner with horses. It is so enjoyable to see in the horse when he connects with you and gets what it is you want him to do. The best part of it is seeing in the horse that he WANTS to do what is asked of him!! I don’t think we would have ever got to enjoy that incredible experience had we not met Lisa and learn the Natural Horsemanship way!! THANKS LISA!!!!! You are a very special person and the love, care, experience, knowledge and appreciation of the horse is so very obvious when you are with one. After seeing what you have accomplished in this colt as well as what you have accomplished with your young horse Jupiter, I firmly believe any horse that is started by you will be a very lucky horse!
